Did you know that in some parts of the world, Mother’s Day is a holiday?
Mum’s special day is not far away in Australia. Perhaps 2018 is a perfect opportunity to take the lead from Finland, Indonesia and the United States and make this time-honoured tradition part of your own holiday schedule! Following the busy, high-demand long weekends in April and May, Mother’s Day is the perfect time to book in a long weekend and show mum how much you love her.
With the Commonwealth Games finished on the Gold Coast, the city looks the best it ever has and is sure to provide a unique, memorable getaway for your mum. There are still some Elite Holiday Homes available and they will allow your mum to experience the luxury she deserves.
Elite Holiday Home Opulence
Every one of Elite Holiday Homes’ 47 Gold Coast properties features expansive bedrooms and living areas, along with luxuries that far surpass the best hotel rooms. With air conditioning and fully equipped kitchens and laundries coming as standard, many homes either enjoy the direct beach or water access and frequently feature gorgeous gourmet kitchens, huge swimming pools, giant outdoor areas that combine with indoor living areas, cinema rooms, entertainment rooms, video game consoles and pool tables. Homes come with a Foxtel and Wi-Fi package included.
Remember – mum shouldn’t have to cook on her special day! Request our Personal Chef service and our culinary team will arrive on your doorstep and prepare the meal your heart desires – anything from simple barbecues to five-star fare. You might also want to order from a large selection of massage and beauty treatments on offer.
Near the Coast’s Best
Elite Holiday Homes are positioned in the entertainment and social hubs of the Gold Coast: Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Mermaid Beach, Miami and Burleigh. Some, like House in the Sky, enjoy the peace of the Gold Coast hinterland and incredible views of the city; some, like Oceans 74, is just steps from world-class beaches; while others, like Gateway to Paradise, are situated within walking distance of the Gold Coast Convention Centre, the refurbished Star Casino and a host of high-quality eateries.
The new light rail line makes the city’s best spots even more accessible and many Elite Holiday Homes are close to a station. If you hire a car to tour the hinterland or get to the theme parks, our homes have room on-site for parking.
Bring the Whole Family
With between five and 10 spacious bedrooms in the vast majority of Elite Holiday Homes, most properties are capable of comfortably hosting between 10 and 20 people. Homes have multiple living spaces, like Eutopia, or giant outdoor areas that combine with living areas, like The Lotus, meaning there’s plenty of space for your family to get together – or for each person to enjoy some private time.
Homes like Flamingo Key also offer an easily accessible swimming pool, a cubby house, and an entertainment room with a pool table, PlayStation 3 and a high definition television, giving children plenty of options to play together or spread out.
Is Financially Affordable
How expensive is it to stay at an Elite Holiday Home? Not as much as you might think. With five-bedroom homes like Escape to the Coast available for as little $410 a night (over a four-night stay) and the seven-bedroom House in the Sky at Tallai available for just $500 a night, that’s an average of $69 or $71 per bedroom per night. You’re unlikely to find a hotel room in Broadbeach or Main Beach at that price per night – especially one providing you with the same space and exclusive access to these facilities.

Some of the Elite Holiday Homes you should consider:
Eutopia: If you’re thinking of bringing a large extended family, Eutopia is the perfect fit. With ten bedrooms and eight bathrooms across three levels, this giant property can cater for up to 20 people. The pool overlooks the canal, while the spacious lounge and dining area, hand-crafted bar, cinema room and entertainment centre offer plenty of options for family bonding. Alternatively, the city’s beaches and Tedder Avenue’s famed eateries are only a short distance away.
House in the Sky: If mum loves clean hinterland air or a sky full of stars, book a stay at House in the Sky – a country-style mansion on the western fringes of the Gold Coast which is still only a short car trip from the city. You can grab a slice around the pizza oven, warm yourself at the fire pit or have drinks on the deck, all while enjoying incredible views of the Gold Coast skyline. The property’s seven bedrooms are shared between the main house featuring a stone fireplace and exquisite wooden decor, and a guest house situated on the ambling grounds.
The Lotus: This five-bedroom mansion puts you in the heart of Broadbeach, close to the Gold Coast Convention Centre, the refurbished Star Casino, a host of high-quality eateries and the city’s light rail line. Indoor kitchen, living and dining areas all open out to a large alfresco area, which overlooks the pool and canal, while the home offers a cinema room and cubby house to keep your family entertained. There’s also a sandy stretch of beach where you can fish or making sandcastles.
