Well, December is here and the countdown to Christmas has well and truly started! There’s plenty to do across Broadbeach and the wider Gold Coast during the Christmas season, so we’ve put together a list of Christmas-on-the-Gold-Coast To-Do’s:
1. Broadbeach Christmas Carols: head on over to Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach on 14 December for a great night full of carols – plus a great range of kids activities, including petting zoo, jumping castle and face painting, not to mention heaps of food stalls.
2. Christmas Shopping at Pacific Fair: Pacific Fair is an enormous shopping centre in Broadbeach- just a short walk from many of our holiday homes and with a huge range of specialty stores. Shop til you drop, then grab lunch at one of the many food outlets, or catch a movie at the cinemas. (They’ve even started up a child-minding service, for stress free shopping!)
3. Eating on Christmas Day: You’ll definitely want to plan ahead! Most restaurants and supermarkets are closed on Christmas Day and those restaurants that are open will probably require bookings – here’s a great list of places open for Christmas lunch. And don’t forget our Gold Coast holiday homes all come with a full kitchen, with everything you’ll need to create a spectacular Christmas dinner – just remember to pop down to the supermarket on the 23rd or 24th.
Deluxe on Water (and every other Gold Coast holiday home we offer!) has a full kitchen.
4. New Year’s Fireworks: Ring in the New Year with the Surfers Paradise fireworks – one of the biggest displays in Queensland and synched to music! Head up to Surfers Paradise and get right in the thick of it, or out onto the sand at Broadbeach for a great view and a smaller crowd. They kick off at the kid-friendly 8pm and then again at midnight.
Happy holiday season!
